Cleric Urges Non-Partisanship Among Religious Leaders

During the eighth edition of the Night of Divine Experience held in Ogun State on Friday, Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, the Founder of The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries Worldwide, urged religious leaders across Nigeria to maintain non-partisanship and uphold the spiritual integrity of the church. She warned against using the pulpit for political endorsements, asserting that it should serve to proclaim biblical truths and provide guidance to all individuals, regardless of their political affiliations.

Yomi-Sholoye emphasized the responsibility of religious leaders to remain impartial, especially during elections when political interests may seek to influence faith communities. She also cautioned against vote-buying and encouraged citizens to base their electoral decisions on candidates' competence and leadership records.

Specifically addressing eligible voters in Osun State, she advised them to evaluate candidates based on their past administrative performance and vision for the state before casting their ballots.
