ADC Cuts Nomination Fees to Boost Election Participation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a substantial reduction in nomination fees for aspirants participating in the forthcoming elections at various levels, including state, local government, and ward levels. Dr.

Ibrahim Mani, a representative from the party, stated that the decision aims to enhance inclusivity in the electoral process. The nomination fee for ward chairmanship has been decreased from N30,000 to N10,000, while the fee for secretaries has dropped from N7,000 to N25,000.

Additionally, local government chairmanship nomination forms have been reduced from N40,000 to N250,000, and the fees for state-level positions have been cut by 50%. For instance, the state chairmanship form now costs N500,000 instead of the initial N1 million.

However, it was noted that these reductions do not apply to national positions.
