NIDCOM Boss Urges Nigerians Abroad to Project Positivity

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), called on Nigerians living abroad to positively project Nigeria's image rather than focusing solely on negative narratives. This statement was made during her visit to the United Kingdom, where she met with notable Nigerian figures, including Christoph Adegok, the first person of ethnic minority background to chair the Nottinghamshire County Council, and Rosalind Ogunro, who was recently sworn in as the Mayor of Islington.

Dabiri-Erewa celebrated the academic achievements of Nigerian students, highlighting Dorca Akanbi, who graduated from Rostov State Medical University in Russia with a CGPA of 4.90, and Dr. Monilola Adeshina, who emerged as the valedictorian at the Medical University of Silesia in Poland.

She emphasized that these accomplishments reflect the brilliance and determination of Nigerian youth and urged the diaspora to continue supporting Nigeria's development through expertise and investment.
