Ojodu Launches School Feeding Program for 500 Pupils

On Wednesday, the Ojodu Local Council Development Area, led by Chairman David Odunmbaku, launched a school feeding program aimed at benefiting 500 pupils at Ojodu Primary School. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Lagos State Government, under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to implement a home-grown school feeding program across all 57 local councils in Lagos State.

The program is designed to provide nutritious snacks to primary school pupils over three days, with a target of reaching 30,000 pupils statewide. Damilola Fayoyin, the supervisory councillor for education, emphasized that this initiative reflects President Bola Tinubu's commitment to the welfare of schoolchildren.

Kikelomo Alamu, who manages the program, stated that ensuring every Nigerian child has access to nutritious meals is crucial for their health and educational success. The initiative is also seen as an investment in the nation's future by enhancing children's learning capabilities.
