Kaduna School Feeding Programme Reduces Parental Burden

The Kaduna State Government has stated that its School Feeding Programme is positively impacting the health of pupils in public boarding schools while reducing financial burdens on parents. Hajiya Fauziyah Buhari-Ado, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Uba Sani on the School Feeding Programme, made this announcement during a free medical outreach organized by the Bantex Memorial Foundation in collaboration with the Second Chance Humanitarian Aid Foundation in Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area.

The outreach provided free medical consultations and treatments for various ailments to hundreds of residents. Buhari-Ado noted that five public boarding schools in Kaura are currently benefiting from the School Feeding Programme, which covers feeding costs and approved school charges, significantly easing financial pressure on families.

Parents have reported improvements in their children's health due to access to nutritious meals. The initiative is part of broader efforts by the Kaduna State Government to improve educational outcomes and tackle child malnutrition.
