Court Upholds Exclusion of Labour Party in FCT Council Polls, Recognizes Nenadi Usman as Chairman

The Federal High Court in Abuja upheld the exclusion of the Labour Party from the FCT Council Polls for filing its suit outside the legal timeframe. Justice Peter Lifu delivered the judgment, stating that the party failed to meet the mandatory 14-day period for legal action.

The court dismissed the party's complaint of being unlawfully excluded and upheld INEC's decision. Additionally, the court recognized Esther Nenadi Usman as the valid National Chairman of the Labour Party.
