PDP Appeals to Supreme Court Over National Secretariat Ruling

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has declared its intention to appeal to the Supreme Court after a ruling from the Court of Appeal, which was delivered by Justices James Omotosho, Peter Lifu, and Joyc Abdulmalik. The appeal arises from a judgment concerning the party's national secretariat, which was made public on Monday.

The PDP's legal representatives, including Ememobong, have stated that the battle is not over and that they are determined to rescue the party. The PDP's decision follows a previous judgment that has implications for its national organization and recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The party held a convention in Ibadan in November 2025, and the legal action aims to ensure that PDP members do not suffer from the consequences of the ruling.
