CPN Demands Investigation into Child Abuse Case in Anambra

The Child Protect Network (CPN), represented by state coordinator Anokwue Eucharia Ijeoma, has expressed profound concern regarding a reported case of child abuse involving a minor named Chiziterem Franklin Ozuligbo in Anambra State. The allegations suggest maltreatment while living in a domestic help care environment.

CPN's statement emphasized the disturbing circumstances surrounding this case and raised serious concerns about the safety and welfare of children in similar care situations. The organization condemned all forms of violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse against children, asserting that every child has an inherent right to protection, dignity, education, and healthcare.

CPN called on law enforcement agencies and relevant government authorities to conduct a prompt, transparent, and impartial investigation into the allegations. Furthermore, they urged community leaders, traditional institutions, civil society organizations, and faith-based groups to collaborate in safeguarding children's rights and ensuring justice, while also providing necessary medical and psychosocial support to aid the recovery of the affected child.
