CREDICORP Launches New Credit Scheme in Ogun State

CREDICORP has initiated a new credit scheme in Ogun State, specifically at the Awujal Palace in Ijebu Ode, as part of efforts to enhance access to consumer credit. The program, disclosed by Chairman Aderemi Abdul Bojela, is designed to support asset ownership and stimulate local manufacturing for economic growth.

Beneficiaries of the scheme will be able to acquire three-wheelers through an affordable repayment plan. This initiative aligns with CREDICORP's commitment to finance 20,000 assembled vehicles in Nigeria, thereby supporting local industries and job creation.

So far, 227,728 Nigerians have accessed vehicles, digital devices, solar energy solutions, and home improvement financing through CREDICORP's programs. Olanik Kolawole, Executive Director of Operations, emphasized that the initiative promotes inclusive economic growth and aims to help Nigerians acquire necessary assets through asset-backed credit.

The program is part of a broader strategy to improve access to consumer credit and strengthen local enterprises.
