Otu Appoints Ayuk Obi Afor as New Tourism Commissioner

Governor Bassey Otu appointed Mr. Ayuk Obi Afor as the new commissioner for tourism, arts, and culture in Cross River State, filling the vacancy created by the death of Hon.

Abubakar Ewa on January 8, 2025. The Cross River State House of Assembly confirmed Afor's nomination on Wednesday.

The confirmation followed a report from the House's Committee on Judiciary and Public Service, which found Afor qualified for the position. The committee's chairman, Rt.
