Cross River Governor Otu Swears in New Commissioners

On Monday, Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu swore in two new commissioners: Ayuk Obi Afor as Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Dodeye Ikpi Arikpo as Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations. The governor also approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting six members of the State Executive Council, aimed at strengthening his administration's capacity to deliver on its "People First" agenda.

The reshuffle included Anom Emmanuel Moses moving from the Ministry of Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries Development to the Ministry of Human Capital Development; Ekpang Erasmus Ekpang from the Ministry of Information and Orientation to the Ministry of Lands; Cobham Ekpenyong Ene from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Information and Orientation; Mensah Bassey Offiong from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Environment; Kingsley N. Egumi from the Ministry of Human Capital Development to the Ministry of Transport; and Ekpenyong Francis Edet from the Ministry of Lands to the Ministry of Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries Development.

Otu emphasized that these adjustments are designed to align the experience and expertise of cabinet members with the government's priorities.
