C&S Church Launches Security Training for Members

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim has initiated a formal surveillance and security-awareness training program for its Army of Salvation Band to address increasing security threats in churches. Victoria Adesioye, the General Leader of the band, announced this initiative during the centenary celebrations of the Army of Salvation Band, themed “Be Ye Ambassadors of Christ,” at the church’s International Headquarters in Ojokoro, Lagos State.

The training will be mandatory for all new members and is set to commence before the grand finale of the band’s 100th anniversary celebrations. Adesioye clarified that the training will not involve firearms or combat techniques but will focus on surveillance and security awareness.

She emphasized the importance of adapting to emerging challenges while preserving the organization's original mandate of order, discipline, and service. The Army of Salvation Band was founded in 1926 by Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase, and Adesioye acknowledged the sacrifices made by its founding members in supporting evangelistic activities across Nigeria.
