Cult Clash in Ilorin Claims Four Lives, Two Injured

A violent clash between suspected cult members in Ilorin, Kwara State, led to the deaths of four individuals and injuries to two others. The incident took place around 9:00 PM on Sunday at Shanti Bamboo Bar, located along the railway line.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the occurrence and stated that their officers responded swiftly to a distress call, evacuating victims to a police clinic for medical attention. Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi, the police spokesperson, noted that preliminary investigations indicated the attack was linked to cult activities, leading to the arrest of two suspects associated with a notorious cult group.

The police are conducting a comprehensive investigation to identify and apprehend all individuals connected to the crime. Ojo Adekimi, the state commissioner of police, condemned the violence, describing it as a serious threat to public peace and safety, and urged the public to remain calm while providing credible information to assist ongoing investigations.
