NCS Begins Final Recruitment Screening for Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has commenced the final phase of its recruitment screening for shortlisted candidates, which includes documentation, physical fitness assessments, and medical screening. Abdullahi Maiwada, NCS Spokesperson, announced that the screening is taking place at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Gwagwalada, Abuja, and will last for two weeks, concluding on September 19.

This exercise covers candidates for the Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCII), Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres. Candidates are screened in alphabetical batches to maintain order.

Frank Onyeka, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Human Resource Development, emphasized the importance of character and professional conduct in addition to physical fitness. He congratulated the candidates and urged adherence to guidelines.

Dow Gaura, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs and Commandant of the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, noted that the recruitment process has been efficient and without issues. The NCS had previously announced a recruitment cycle with 3,852 positions available from 573,680 applications.
