Nigeria Customs Service Screens 3,852 Recruitment Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has initiated the final phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, screening 3,852 shortlisted candidates at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Gwagwalada, Abuja. This final screening commenced on Monday and will continue for two weeks, concluding on September 19.

The screening process includes documentation, physical fitness assessments, and medical examinations, specifically for candidates under the Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCII), Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant cadres. Abdullahi Maiwada, the NCS spokesperson, stated that candidates are screened in batches based on their states of origin to maintain order.

Frank Onyeka, the Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Human Resource Development, emphasized that character and discipline are crucial in assessing candidates. He urged adherence to guidelines during the process.

Dow Gaura, the Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs and Commandant of the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, noted that the recruitment process has been seamless and without disruptions.
