Dangote Cement Commissions Cottage Hospital in Kogi State

On Friday, Dangote Cement PLC commissioned a modern Cottage Hospital in Obajana, Kogi State, reaffirming its commitment to community development through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. The hospital was designed to provide comprehensive primary and secondary healthcare services, reducing the burden on residents who previously traveled long distances for medical treatment.

Engr. Panjala Sreedhar, the plant director, stated that the facility was built in direct response to healthcare needs identified through community consultations.

The hospital features male and female wards, a private ward, consultation rooms, and essential medical infrastructure, including a borehole for water supply. Governor Ahm Usman Ododo expressed support for the project, highlighting its potential to enhance maternal and child healthcare.

Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, the local government chairman, described the hospital as a significant intervention for improving healthcare access.

Dangote Cement also announced additional projects, including an ICT center and vocational skill acquisition programs, to further support the community.
