Dangote Cement Opens Cottage Hospital in Kogi State

Dangote Cement PLC inaugurated a multi-million naira cottage hospital in Obajana, Kogi State, to enhance healthcare access for local residents. The hospital was designed following extensive consultations with the community to address healthcare needs.

It includes male and female wards, private wards, consultation rooms, and 19 sanitary facilities, equipped with essential medical infrastructure. The project aims to reduce the burden of long-distance travel for quality medical care.

Group Managing Director Arvind Pathak was conferred the title of Mayegun of Obajana Kingdom during the ceremony, while Plant Director Azad Nawabuddin and Group Head of Social Performance Wakeel Olayiwola received titles as well. The hospital is part of Dangote's broader commitment to investing in education and healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo praised the company's contributions to community development, while local leaders urged for continued support and maintenance of the facility.
