Dangote Cement Boosts Education in Kogi with Material Distribution

Dangote Cement Plc, through its Obajana Plant, has intensified its educational support initiatives by distributing educational materials in Lokoja, Kogi State. Ademola Adeyemi, General Manager of the Social Performance Department, stated that this effort is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) schemes.

The distribution of school bags, exercise books, writing materials, and water bottles aims to enhance the learning experience of pupils and prepare them for the upcoming academic session. This intervention follows a needs assessment that revealed many students lacked basic learning materials.

Abubakar Sanni, Head Teacher of UBE LGEA School, expressed gratitude to Dangote Cement Plc and its Group President, Aliko Dangote, for extending educational support beyond host communities. The company's commitment to social investment includes previous distributions in Oyo, Iwaa, Obajana, and Apata, as well as the commissioning of multi-million-naira hospitals in Obajana and Iwaa.
