Dangote Refinery Launches Free Petrol Delivery Scheme

Dangote Refinery has commenced a free petrol delivery initiative to Abuja and five states, including Lagos, Ogun, Kaduna, Rivers, and Delta State. This program is expected to significantly reduce fuel distribution costs and potentially lower pump prices across the country.

The initiative, which began this week, aims to improve access to petroleum products and strengthen the nationwide supply chain. Customers purchasing a minimum of 250,000 liters of petrol will benefit from this delivery scheme.

The company anticipates that this move will help alleviate the high energy costs faced by consumers and businesses, particularly in northern Nigeria, where transport costs have historically contributed to higher fuel prices. The refinery, with a capacity of approximately 650,000 barrels per day, is positioned to meet Nigeria's domestic demand for petroleum products and reduce dependence on fuel imports.

Analysts believe this initiative will enhance the availability of petroleum products and reduce instances of artificial scarcity.
