Dangote Refinery Launches Free Petrol Delivery to Abuja

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has initiated free delivery of premium motor spirit, commonly known as petrol, to six states across Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The refinery announced that it will maintain an ex-depot price of ₦1,075 per liter.

The free delivery service covers Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Delta, and Abuja, with customers required to purchase a minimum of 250,000 liters of petrol. This move follows a recent meeting where Dangote Refinery engaged with stakeholders in Nigeria's downstream petroleum sector to discuss cost reflections and fuel pricing.

Abubakar Maigandi, President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, disclosed that retail petrol prices have fallen by ₦125 per liter over the past three weeks, with pump prices ranging from ₦1,155 to ₦1,299 depending on market location. This announcement marks the refinery's fourth reduction in petrol prices.
