Dapper Group's Akinwunmi Addresses Artist Contract Disputes

Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi, the founder of Dapper Group and Dvpper Digital, publicly addressed ongoing controversies regarding his business relationships with Nigerian artists Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, and T.I. Blaze.

He rejected allegations of exploitation, including claims of withheld royalties and irregularities in contracts, stating that all agreements were negotiated with legal counsel involved. Akinwunmi emphasized that the artists were not misled and had entered into contracts as informed businessmen.

He highlighted significant investments made by Dapper Group, including $52,000 on two music videos in the United States and over $200,000 for a separate trip for recording and video shoots. He challenged the narrative that his companies were withholding earnings, suggesting that financial matters should be audited rather than discussed on social media.

Akinwunmi also denied selling any artist's catalogue or forging documents related to agreements, asserting that all signatures were legitimate and verifiable. He invited anyone with concerns about financial misappropriation to seek an independent forensic audit of Dapper Group's records.
