Shallipopi Accuses Dapper Music of Withholding Royalties

Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, known as Shallipopi, has made serious allegations against music executive Dapper Music, claiming he is withholding royalties from 46 of Shallipopi's songs, including the hit "E Don Cast." Shallipopi expressed his grievances on X, questioning the handling of his royalties and asserting that Dapper has failed to remit the owed payments. He further alleged that Dapper sold his music catalogue to Virgin Music without proper accounting, warning that he is prepared to report Dapper to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Shallipopi accused Dapper of making false statements to the EFCC and suggested that other artists might also be affected by similar financial issues. Additionally, he described Dapper as a manipulator within the industry, indicating that he had intervened to prevent further complications in their dealings.

The allegations remain unverified, as Shallipopi did not provide independent evidence to support his claims.
