Sowore Accuses Datti Baba-Ahmed of Knowing Obi's Flaws

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has accused Datti Baba-Ahmed, Peter Obi's running mate on the Labour Party (LP) ticket in the 2023 presidential election, of being aware of Obi's alleged shortcomings before agreeing to run with him. Sowore made this claim in a post on his 𝕏 account, responding to Baba-Ahmed's recent comments about Obi, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, and other political figures, where Baba-Ahmed suggested that these politicians could not deliver the necessary changes for Nigeria.

Sowore stated, “He knew Peter Obi, whom he deputised, was a packaged fraud,” asserting that Baba-Ahmed revealed knowledge he had from working closely with Obi. Additionally, Sowore recounted an encounter at the Peace Accord signing in 2023, where he observed Baba-Ahmed's friendly interaction with President Bola Tinubu, interpreting it as indicative of Obi and Baba-Ahmed working in Tinubu's interest, a view that was strongly rejected by Labour Party supporters at the time.
