Sowore Critiques Obi's Governance at NBA Conference

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), regarding his performance as Governor of Anambra State. Speaking at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Monday, Sowore stated that Obi did not perform well during his governorship.

He highlighted that Obi failed to adequately support education and public services, pointing to prolonged strikes by lecturers and doctors that lasted for 13 months. Sowore emphasized that politicians must account for their past performance instead of presenting themselves as solutions to problems they previously failed to address.

He remarked that while some Nigerians may appreciate Obi's personality, his historical record as governor does not demonstrate that he has the solutions to Nigeria's current issues, asserting, "You may like him as a person, but he did not perform as a Governor.".
