To combat this, Nigerians are advised to verify the source of videos, seek confirmation from credible news organizations, and utilize tools like Google’s Gemini app for watermark checks. However, these tools are not foolproof, emphasizing the need for a multi-layered approach to verification that includes professional journalism and digital literacy.
