Defence Minister Reaffirms Support for Fallen Heroes' Families

On April 9, 2026, Defence Minister Christoph Gwabin Musa (Rtd) received Hassan Braimah, the brother of the late Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah, at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja. Brigadier General Braimah, a distinguished infantry officer in the Nigerian Army, was laid to rest with full military honors at Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri on April 15, 2026, alongside seven personnel who served with him.

During the visit, Mr. Hassan Braimah shared poignant memories of his brother, and Minister Musa expressed pride in the general's sacrifice for the nation.

The Minister assured the Braimah family of the Ministry's ongoing support and commitment to the families of fallen heroes, emphasizing an open-door policy for continued assistance. He extended condolences to the Braimah family and reaffirmed the Ministry's resolve to uphold the legacy of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
