Defence Minister Links Political Stability to National Security

General Christopher Musa (Rtd), the Minister of Defence, articulated the significance of political stability and institutional harmony as essential for Nigeria's national security. This statement was made in a congratulatory message from the Ministry of Defence to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

The message, issued by Leah Katung-Babatunde, the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, praised Yilwatda as a scholar, administrator, and statesman, highlighting the importance of his leadership beyond partisan politics. Musa stressed that stable political institutions and constructive relations among stakeholders are crucial for fostering an environment conducive to national development and security.

He acknowledged Yilwatda's role in leading the APC and underscored the connection between effective political leadership, institutional stability, and sustainable national security, wishing Yilwatda continued wisdom, courage, good health, and strength in his service to the party and the country.
