Defence Minister Appointed APC Campaign Secretary for 2027

General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), the Minister of Defence, has been appointed as Secretary I of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership for this appointment, viewing it as a sign of confidence in his abilities.

General Musa assured party leaders and supporters of his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities with diligence and strategic focus to secure victory for the APC. He emphasized that while he takes on this political role, his primary duty of safeguarding Nigeria's territorial integrity and ensuring the security of lives and property remains paramount.

He reiterated the continuation of military operations and defense sector reforms, stating that national security is the highest imperative. General Musa called for unity among APC members and Nigerians in support of the Tinubu administration and expressed confidence in the party's electoral success in 2027.
