Defence Ministry Denies Rumors of Minister Musa's Resignation

The Ministry of Defence has officially denied reports circulating on social media about Minister Christopher Musa's alleged resignation. In a statement released on Monday by Leah Katung Babatund, the minister's special assistant on media, the ministry described these rumors as falsehoods intended to mislead the public.

It was emphasized that Musa remains in office and continues to carry out his responsibilities within the Federal Executive Council. The statement asserted that there is no truth to claims suggesting that Musa submitted a resignation letter or plans to leave his position.

Babatund noted that the minister is dedicated to strengthening national security and supporting ongoing military operations across the country. The ministry urged the public to disregard the resignation rumors and advised caution when consuming information from social media, warning that false reports can easily gain traction without proper verification.

The ministry's office remains open for inquiries from media organizations seeking clarification on the matter.
