Nwifuru Warns Ebonyi Council Chairmen on 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, during the inauguration of the newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen for the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State in Abakaliki, Governor Francis Nwifuru issued a stern warning. He stated that any council chairman who does not ensure their local government supports the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections would be removed from office and replaced by a councillor.

Nwifuru emphasized that their political performance would be closely monitored and that failure to win their councils would lead to their dismissal. He urged the chairmen to remain engaged with their councils' daily activities and not to heed negative gossip that could harm their relationships.

Nwifuru expressed confidence in the APC's success in the state and reiterated the importance of delivering votes for the party in the 2027 elections, stating, “Deliver APC in 2027 or lose your jobs.”.
