DHQ Alerts Public on Compromised X Account Security

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has raised an alarm regarding the compromise of its X account, advising the public to be vigilant about information disseminated through this account. Major General Samaila Uba, the Director of Defence Information, indicated that the incident is being treated as a cybersecurity issue, with appropriate technical measures activated to secure the account and prevent further unauthorized access.

The DHQ reassured the public that efforts are ongoing to fully restore control of the official account. During this period, the public is advised to disregard any suspicious or misleading content that may be posted.

Major General Uba expressed appreciation for the public's understanding and vigilance, pledging to provide further updates as necessary. He encouraged the public to rely on the military’s active official channels across other platforms for accurate and timely information regarding the activities and operations of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
