DICON-D7G to Launch Military Jetty in Lagos Soon

The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria–D7G (DICON-D7G) is set to unveil a strategic military jetty in Lagos within three months as part of Nigeria's efforts to bolster its indigenous defense industry. This initiative, in partnership with Eagles International for Defence Systems, aims to establish local production lines for military equipment, including armoured vehicles and anti-drone systems.
Mr Osman Chennar, CEO of DICON-D7G, announced that the partnership is expected to create over 200 jobs and provide opportunities for approximately 100 retired military personnel. The project will facilitate technology transfer and expand domestic manufacturing capacity, reducing reliance on imported military hardware.
The targeted platforms include various armoured vehicles and military equipment. The military jetty will serve as a logistics hub for the supply and distribution of military equipment within Nigeria and across Africa, with the potential to employ over 1,000 civilians when fully operational.
