Diri Launches Tinubu's Second Term Campaign in Bayelsa

On Wednesday, during the 195th State Executive Council meeting and the flag-off of President Bola Tinubu's second-term campaign at Oxbow Lake in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri emphasized the importance of issue-based campaigns for the upcoming 2027 general elections. He advised politicians to respect their opponents and adopt a persuasive approach rather than a combative one.

Diri expressed confidence that the South-South geopolitical zone and the broader Nigerian populace would re-elect President Tinubu, whom he described as a democrat deserving of a second term to build on the achievements of his first tenure. He commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, the grand patron of the PBAT Door to Door Movement, for spearheading the initiative.

Diri also recalled Tinubu's commitment to free and fair elections during his governorship bid in November 2023 and the recent governorship election in Osun State, congratulating Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory.
