ADC Chieftain Fawaz Muhammad Advocates Unity Amid Disagreements

Fawaz Muhammad, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Edo State, expressed that disagreements within the party will contribute to its strength. He highlighted the necessity for unity at both ward and national levels to address challenges posed by internal issues and external pressures.

Muhammad pointed out that the ADC must promote fair practices to allow opposition parties to operate freely, thereby ensuring a healthy democratic environment. He criticized the current political climate, urging the need for sincerity and coordination to prevent overheating the political space.

Furthermore, he called for the Independent National Electoral Commission to uphold its constitutional responsibilities, ensuring that the electoral process is transparent, credible, and fair, which is essential for strengthening trust and stabilizing democracy in Nigeria. Muhammad, a former speaker of the Edo State Youth Parliament, emphasized that the ADC must reflect unity in its response to current challenges.
