Bayelsa Urges Fairness in Disputed Oil Wells Resolution

Bayelsa State Government has called for objectivity and fairness from the Technical Committee set up by the Revenue Mobilisation Fiscal Allocation Commission (RMFAC) to handle the disputed oil and gas wells issue. Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo emphasized the need for a truthful and just resolution to promote peaceful coexistence with neighboring states.

The state government expressed confidence in the committee's ability to find a fair solution and vowed to defend its resources, particularly the disputed Soku Oilfield. Senator Ewhrudjakpo highlighted the importance of the committee being guided by past decisions to ensure a just outcome.
