DLA Elects Candidates for Abuja Federal Constituencies

On May 27, 2026, the Democrat Leadership Alliance (DLA) conducted primary elections in Abuja to select candidates for the House of Representatives seats for the AMAC/Bwari and Abuja South federal constituencies. The elections took place at the party's national headquarters located at No. 25 Niger Crescent, Sun City Estate, Galadimawa, Abuja.

Hon. Chigozi Ez Anolu emerged as the party's candidate for the AMAC/Bwari federal constituency, while Methuselah Gallio secured the party's ticket for the Abuja South federal constituency, which includes the Abaji, Kuje, Gwagwalada, and Kwali area councils within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The primary elections were supervised by the party leadership, including the National Woman Mobilization Officer, Bilkisu Ocheja, and were conducted in the presence of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The DLA officials described the exercise as peaceful and transparent, reaffirming the party's commitment to internal democracy ahead of the upcoming elections.
