DNA Confirms Grandfather Impregnated His Granddaughter

A DNA test has confirmed that Musa Gado, a 64-year-old man from Mashegu Local Government Area, is the biological father of his 16-year-old granddaughter's child. The incident, which occurred in Lufari Village, involved Gado allegedly forcing the girl into a sexual relationship, resulting in her pregnancy.

The girl, who sought refuge with the Child Right Protection Enforcement Agency in Minna, was six months pregnant when she reported the case on October 5, 2025. Despite attempts to abort the pregnancy, she later gave birth to a baby boy in December 2025.

The agency has taken custody of the child to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Gado accepted the DNA test, which cost N500,000, and the results showed a 99.999% match.

He has been arrested and is currently in custody, with investigations ongoing by the State Criminal Investigation Department. The agency is committed to ensuring that Gado faces appropriate legal consequences.
