Dogara Denies Leaving APC Over Tinubu's Ticket Rumors

Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, issued a statement through his spokesperson, Dr. Domin Alancha, denying reports that he planned to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to the party's Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket featuring Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

The rumors, described as unfounded and misleading, were said to be the work of mischief-makers aiming to create division within the APC. Dogara emphasized his loyalty to the party and stated that he neither resigned nor intended to resign from the APC.

He expressed his commitment to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to work towards the party's success in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Dogara urged the public and media to disregard the false reports and to rely on credible sources for information, reinforcing his dedication to the unity and growth of the APC.
