Ganduje Denies Defection Claims, Affirms APC Commitment

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Kano State, has firmly rejected reports suggesting he plans to defect to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He described these claims as false and politically motivated, aimed at misleading the public and creating confusion among APC supporters.

Ganduje emphasized his commitment to the APC and its leadership under President Bola Tinubu, stating that the party remains the largest in Nigeria and continues to gain support. He also warned that legal action would be taken against those responsible for circulating posters alleging his defection, which he labeled as misinformation.

Ganduje's statement was supported by Muhammad Garba, his former chief of staff, who reiterated that there were no considerations for leaving the APC, dismissing the reports as lacking political logic.
