Chiwetalu Agu: Don't Prioritize Virginity in Marriage

Chiwetalu Agu, a veteran Nollywood actor, has advised singles against prioritizing virginity when selecting a spouse. He explained that physical purity does not equate to loyalty or good character.

Drawing from his three decades of marriage experience, Agu emphasized the importance of character, mutual respect, and emotional maturity over superficial and material attributes such as wealth. He stated that while finding a partner with good character is essential, virginity should not be the primary consideration, as it is a secondary factor.

He ranked kindness, respect, and emotional maturity higher than physical and material qualities in the selection of a spouse, reflecting on the longevity of his own marriage, which is built on mutual respect and genuine care.
