Adekanmbi Promises Accountability as Oyo Governorship Candidate

Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, announced his readiness to face criticism and opposition from voters if he fails to meet their expectations, should he be elected in 2027. During a media hangout with journalists in Ibadan on Thursday, Adekanmbi emphasized that his motivation for running was to provide purposeful and accountable leadership rather than seeking political power.

He acknowledged that public office entails scrutiny and that a governor must accept responsibility for both successes and failures. Adekanmbi's proposed administration would prioritize economic development, education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, agriculture, and youth employment.

He aims to create a conducive environment for investment and business growth while supporting farmers with improved access to resources. Adekanmbi also plans to enhance public schools and strengthen primary healthcare services across the state, ensuring that education aligns with modern economic demands.
