Drunk Driver Injured in Lagos Crash, State Government Condemns Reckless Driving

In Lagos State, a drunk driver was injured in a road crash after colliding with a truck in the Apongbon area. Adebayo Taofiq, a spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), reported that the driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.

The driver, operating a Honda Jeep with registration number FKJ 562 JF, was speeding and crashed into the rear of a moving Scania truck, resulting in a critical situation where the driver was trapped in the wreckage. Emergency rescue personnel swiftly responded, extracted the driver, and provided urgent medical attention.

Sola Giwa, a state governor transport advisor, expressed concern over the incident, urging motorists to avoid reckless driving and emphasizing the lethal consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol. The Lagos State government reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing traffic laws to protect lives and property across the state.
