DSS Frees Cleared Hajj Pilgrims with Compensation

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Nigeria has released seven Hajj pilgrims who were cleared of terrorism allegations after a thorough month-long investigation. Each individual was reportedly compensated with N1 million following the findings that cleared them of any wrongdoing.

The decision to release the pilgrims was based on the agency's commitment to justice and professionalism. The DSS source highlighted the ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing public confidence and professionalism within the agency.

The release and compensation were welcomed by the suspects' lawyer, Barrister Bashir Sabi u Ahmad, who praised the DSS for upholding justice.
