Rafiu Durosinmi Aims for 20 Goals with Genk

Rafiu Durosinmi, a 23-year-old striker for Genk in the Belgian Pro League, has set a personal target of scoring at least 20 goals this season and contending for the league's Golden Boot. He made this declaration in an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, following a strong start where he netted five goals in his first six league matches since transferring from Pisa for a club-record fee of €10.5 million.

His latest goal was scored during a 1-1 draw against Gent. Durosinmi's performance marks a significant improvement from his time at Pisa, where he managed only one goal in 12 Serie A appearances in the latter half of the 2025/26 season.

He expressed gratitude for being voted Man of The Match and acknowledged the influence of fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu in his decision to join Genk, describing the club as exceeding his expectations. Durosinmi also praised head coach Jess Thorup for helping him settle quickly.
