Bago Urges Christians to Engage in Politics for Appointments

Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago has called on Christians in the state to actively participate in politics to secure political appointments. During an interview represented by Pastor Isah Lawrence, Bago stressed that Christians have not been sufficiently involved in political processes and need to work collectively.

He stated, “If you do not participate, you do not have the rights to demand for or is it automatic?” Bago assured that if Christians engage in the forthcoming elections, they would be considered for appointments. Pastor PeteRock Sadiq, Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, emphasized the importance of matching prayers with civic action and called for fair political representation for Christians.

He noted that the Church is a moral force and should not be politically indifferent. Sadiq urged registered voters to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards and verify their details on the voters’ register.
