Ebonyi Governor Inspects Trans-Saharan Highway Project

On Tuesday, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State inspected the 118-kilometre stretch of the Trans-Saharan Highway, which connects Ndibe Bridge in Afikpo to Gboko in Benue State. He directed contractors, specifically Infouest Construction Company Ltd, to strictly adhere to approved engineering standards and project specifications to ensure quality delivery.

During the inspection, Nwifuru visited the proposed flyover site at Ukwuachi, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving commuter movement. He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his transformative infrastructure agenda in the South-East, expressing gratitude for the ongoing projects.

Nwifuru assured contractors of the state's cooperation in resolving challenges related to compensation and evaluation but warned against poor workmanship and deviations from project designs. The Federal Controller of Works in Ebonyi State, Engr.
