Ecobank Nigeria and Soto Gallery to Host 2026 +234 Art Fair in Lagos, Focusing on Inclusivity

Ecobank Nigeria and Soto Gallery have revealed plans to host the third edition of the +234 Art Fair from March 5-8, 2026, at the Ecobank Pan African Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme for the 2026 edition is "Inclusivity," emphasizing creative entrepreneurship, equitable access, and expanded opportunities within Nigeria's contemporary art ecosystem.

The fair has quickly established itself as an important platform for emerging Nigerian artists, connecting them with collectors, patrons, and cultural institutions globally. The 2026 edition of the fair has a dedicated curatorial team that conducted extensive nationwide research to identify and engage artists from diverse regions and backgrounds, ensuring equitable representation.

Tola Akerel, the founder of Soto Gallery and the +234 Art Fair, highlighted the importance of inclusivity in widening representation within the art space. Omoboy Odu, commenting on behalf of Ecobank Nigeria, described the fair as an intervention aimed at reshaping Nigeria's creative discourse and supporting sustainable artistic practices.
