Rivers Women Urged to Focus on Self-Development

Dr. Lolo Gelsham, during a talk on self-development at a skill program organized by the Rivers Women Unit (RIWU) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, encouraged women to remain steadfast in their personal growth despite prevailing political and economic challenges.

She emphasized that women should continue to develop themselves in various endeavors such as business, education, and politics. Gelsham stated that personal development is crucial and urged women not to be distracted by temporary challenges.

The event coincided with a monthly prayer session where women gathered to pray for peace and prosperity in Rivers State and Nigeria. Pastor Boma Ibanichuka also spoke, highlighting the importance of unity and prayer among women.

The gathering reaffirmed support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who was praised for his leadership qualities and commitment to the welfare of the people. The women condemned the abduction of school children in the country and called on security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue them.
