4th Lateef Jakande Memorial Lecture Set for Ikeja, Lagos

The 4th Lateef Jakande Memorial Lecture is scheduled for 11 AM at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, organized by the Nigerian Guild of Editors to honor the legacy of Alhaji Lateef Jakande, a prominent journalist and former governor of Lagos State. Ez Anaba, the president of the Guild, and Onuoha Ukeh, the general secretary, will oversee the event.

The lecture's theme is "Media, INEC, and Voter Path to Credible Elections," with Dr. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, serving as chairman.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be the chief host, with special guest Alhaji Moham Idri, and other notable figures including Chief Segun Osoba and Sam Amuka. The lecture aims to bring together media leaders, public officials, and civil society to reflect on the role of the press in nation-building, continuing the tradition of thought leadership and policy debate established by Jakande.
