Edo ADC Warns Expelled Chairman Kennedi Odion to Cease Use

The Edo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a warning to its expelled former chairman, Kennedi Odion, to cease using the party's name. State chairman Toni Alil stated that Odion is no longer authorized to speak or act on behalf of the ADC.

The warning was contained in a statement issued on Sunday, which highlighted that Odion's expulsion was finalized during the ADC national convention held in Abuja on April 14, 2026. His tenure as state executive committee member ended on May 19, 2026.

The party's statement emphasized that Odion is not recognized as either a member or an official of the ADC, despite his claims. Alil reaffirmed the party's commitment to strengthening democratic opposition in Edo State and across Nigeria, asserting that the ADC remains united and focused on providing credible leadership.

In response, Odion dismissed the claims as self-deceit.
